Nepal CA discusses judicial system in the new Constitution
<p>Most members of the constitutional-political dialogue and consensus committee of the Constituent Assembly (CA) speaking in the committee´s meeting today suggested reaching a conclusion on the judicial system only after determining the form of governance and the federal setup.</p><p><br>The committee today held discussions on forging consensus on contentious issues related to the judiciary under the contents of the proposed new constitution.</p><p><br>Parties are at loggerheads regarding the judicial system, especially on the topics of whether or not to have a constitutional court, the kind of structure of the courts in a federal system and the appointment, transfer, promotion and reappointment of judges.</p>
