Mexico's lower house approves constitutional amendment making activities related to outer space a priority development area

[Original in Spanish] In Mexico, the Chamber of Deputies approved a constitutional reform on space matters to combat the lag in this area, modifying articles 28 and 73 to consider space, the Moon and other celestial bodies, as "priority development areas". The statement of the approval of the reform indicates that the intention is to create a legislative base on which "space activities related to the industry" can be developed, but also focused on energy, telecommunications, health, agriculture, environment, urban development, climate change, natural disasters, and more. [...] Now that the document has been approved by the Chamber of Deputies, it must also be approved by the Senate. The text could be modified, but it is unlikely considering that it was approved in the lower house by 462 votes in favor and zero against, so its support is very clear.
