Indian parliament considers constitutionalizing 'backward' classes commission

A Bill to grant constitutional status to backward classes commission will come up in the upper house today. Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment Thawar Chand Gehlot will move the bill to further amend the scheduled castes and scheduled tribes (prevention of atrocities) Act 1989.
