Egypt's parliamentary speaker calls for amendment of 2014 constitution

Parliamentary speaker Ali Abd al-Aal on Wednesday called on MPs to amend the 2014 constitution, claiming that it was drafted at a time of state instability. He criticized lack of possibility, under current constitution, for the president to dismiss ministers. He also said that the ban on dual-national Egyptian running in the presidential elections and being members of the House of Representatives is unnecessary.
