[The Central African Republic now has a law governing the organization of referendums. The National Assembly adopted the bill, proposed by the government, by acclamation on 28 December. Pursuant to articles 41 and 90 of the Constitution, the law provides details on how to organize referendums and enables the government to move forward with efforts to reform the Constitution. Opponents plan to refer the law to the Constitutional Court for review.]
