The main functions of the post are:

  • To generate comparative knowledge in the area of conflict and security, particularly as it pertains to constitution building processes
  • To connect IDEA’s work in democracy support with ongoing global and regional debates and priorities on conflict and security
  • To lead advocacy/policy activities in the area of conflict and security, particularly as it pertains to constitution building processes
  • To support regional offices in the area of conflict and security, particularly as it pertains to constitution building processes
  • To develop program/project proposals for funding in the area of conflict and security.
