Constitutional Responses to the Crisis of Representation and Oligarchic Democracy (CR2OD)

Justice Bradeis

Welcome to the Constitutional Responses to Oligarchic Democracy project.

This project sets out to examine the threats posed to constitutional democracy by economic inequality. In particular, it considers whether - and how - constitutions may be able to protect the common good and the public interest against the distortion or capture of democratic institutions by the very rich.

This is an expanding theme of work for International IDEA and this page represents a "work in progress" where ideas and resources can be shared.
